About This Opportunity
The Kelowna Art Gallery is now accepting proposals from artists to create a site-specific installation for The Glass Gallery.
Located beside the Gallery’s main entrance, The Glass Gallery is a unique exhibition space that showcases artists from across British Columbia. Visible twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, it offers exhibiting artists exceptional public exposure and the opportunity to connect with diverse audiences.
Proposals should recognize that The Glass Gallery is designed for multi-dimensional installation works. Exhibiting artists are expected to complete the installation on site with minimal assistance.

Artists selected for exhibition will receive royalties in accordance with the current CARFAC Fee Schedule (Category 2, Small Sites): **$686 for the first three months, plus $172 for each additional month**. Glass Gallery exhibitions typically run four to six months.

(max. two pages) * Link to artist website or online portfolio. (optional)

* **Open to all artists currently residing in British Columbia.** * Artwork must be newly created or specifically adapted for presentation in The Glass Gallery. * All mediums will be considered; however, preference will be given to installation-based works that fully engage with and respond to the space. * Work must not exceed the physical dimensions of The Glass Gallery. * Artists are responsible for the on-site installation of their work, which must be completed within a single business day. (Gallery staff may provide assistance if arranged in advance.) * Artwork must remain on view for the full duration of the exhibition and be removed on the closing date determined by the Gallery. * Once installed, works may not be altered and should require no ongoing maintenance by Gallery staff. * Minor modifications to The Glass Gallery may be permitted (for example: adding supports, shelves, painting walls, applying vinyl) in consultation with Gallery staff
