About This Opportunity
Do you need support to develop your media art project? At BREEDBEELD, you can apply for up to €1,000 to create work that explores the intersection of art and technology! This project was made possible by funds from the Flemish Government, which aims to stimulate growth and talent development among everyone who engages with art in their free time. You are encouraged to apply if your work falls within the broad definition of media art : from artist film to sound art and from bio-art to software or hardware development.
What You'll Get
Types: FUNDING
You can apply for €500 or €1,000, an amount you can spend on the production of your work. As a creator, you choose how to spend your budget, such as purchasing wood, renting a camera, mentoring, or a day in a fablab.

- Regulations, draft application file and budget You can download the various documents you need from the open call webpage. 1. Please read the regulations carefully first to determine whether you are eligible for an application. 2. Download a draft version that provides an overview of all the questions you will need to answer and allows you to prepare your application. 3. Download a draft budget. Customize it to your project and upload it at the end of your application. Include your name in the file name of each document you submit. For example: widescreen\_project\_financing\_media\_art\_application\_file\_SabinePeeters\_Working\_title.
Eligibility
Other Requirements
The project must fall within the broad definition of media art, ranging from artist's film to sound art and from bio-art to software or hardware development. In short, work that explores the boundaries between art and technology. Who **is** eligible? * This funding is provided within the amateur arts sector. We focus on (not yet) professional artists . * The projects are made outside the framework of a training course. * The projects were not created based on a commercial assignment. * Make sure you have a fully completed file and a realistic , balanced budget . * Submit your application and documents no later than 11:45 PM on November 27th. * You will know by December 10th at the latest whether your application has been approved. Who is **not** eligible? * Professional artists. This refers to artists with a certificate of professionalism. * People who are currently studying at an art academy. * Projects that already receive support elsewhere.
