About This Opportunity
Come to the Outer Hebrides and be inspired by the unspoilt landscape, history and culture.
Sealladh na Mara is one of only two original fisherman’s cottage on the waterfront in Stornaway. Dating from at least the mid-late 1800s the original cottage has been renovated with all the modern comforts.
With two bedrooms, one which can have two single beds, the residency is suitable for those who have family responsibilities.
The winter residency is for artists who want to spend focused time on a project. Each residency should seek to incorporate Gaelic language and culture in some way. You don’t need to be a Gaelic speaker.
Residency holders can be engaged and immersed with the local arts scene or as solitary as you wish. Everything you need is within a few minutes walk of the cottage. Residencies are ideally for one month, with two weeks by negotiation.
Visit www.sealldhnamaracottage.net for more information on the cottage and the island.
