**ARTIST STUDIO RESIDENCY**

**Hands-On Residency for Artists in Chiang Mai – Live, Create & Grow at STUDIOS 94**

**OVERVIEW**

The **Artist Studio Residency** at STUDIOS 94 is designed for **hands-on creatives** who need space to physically create, experiment, and display their work — while being immersed in a warm, international creative community.

Centrally located in Chiang Mai, our five-story building includes an art gallery, shared artist studios, coworking areas, rooftop, balconies, a kitchen, and more — right next door to a major art supply store. We host up to **three residents per month**, offering an intimate, supportive, and focused environment.

**PROGRAM DESCRIPTION**

This program is ideal for **painters, sculptors, mixed media artists, designers, and other visual creatives** working with physical materials who require a dedicated work area. As a resident, you’ll receive both:

* A **private bedroom** with a desk and shared bathroom access

* Your own **fixed desk and wall space** in our shared Artist Studio

You’ll also have full access to communal areas like the **coworking floor, rooftop, kitchen, gallery space, and lounge**. With high-speed WiFi, utilities, and daily cleaning of shared areas included, your focus can remain on your creative work.

The residency is **self-led**, but residents are encouraged to participate in open days, in-house workshops, and community events. We also promote your work across STUDIOS 94’s digital platforms, expanding your visibility locally and internationally.

**FEES**

* **Residency Fee:** 52,000 THB per month

* (\~ €1,389.94 EUR / $1,571.00 USD)

* **Deposit:** 1-month deposit required to confirm booking

**Deposit Policy:**

The deposit is non-refundable in the case of cancellation.

It will be returned within 14 days of your residency's completion if there is no damage or outstanding fees.

**WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED**

* Art materials, tools, or equipment

* Meals or personal expenses

* Travel costs or visa arrangements

* Private room cleaning (resident maintains own room)

* Insurance (travel, health, and artwork insurance must be arranged individually)

**Note:** STUDIOS 94 is unable to sell artwork on behalf of non-Thai nationals due to Thai law. However, foreign residents are welcome to exhibit and promote their work.

**ELIGIBILITY**

* Open to all hands-on visual artists and designers

* International and Thai creatives welcome

* Applicants should be self-directed and respectful of shared space

* Ideal for those seeking both independence and community

**HOW TO APPLY**

Applications are open year-round, with rolling start dates.

Residencies are a **minimum of 1 month**, maximum of 3 months.
